This route takes you to the Omi Hachiman area after enjoying Nagahama.

On the first day, make a visit to Chikubushima Island; one of the eight sceneries of Lake Biwa and one of the most famous power spots in Japan where gods live. After that, experience the origin of Nagahama city's development through the Rakuichi-rakuza (free markets and open guilds) system of the Toyotomi Hideyoshi era, stroll the streets of Kurokabe Square with one of the retro cityscapes with architecture from the Edo, Meiji, and Taisho periods, and experience glass blowing.

The next day, you will feel the depth of Omi Hachiman's history while riding the Japanese canal boats sailing through the center of Hachiman-bori, and will enjoy a delicious vegetable lunch at a quaint old teahouse. In the afternoon, travel to Azuchi to experience making a Wa-asobi cube lantern to brighten up the hearts of people whose minds have been darkened by COVID-19, and visit a museum where we can learn more about the history of Oda Nobunaga and the Warring States period. At the end of the trip, feast on some Omi beef, one of the three most famous Japanese beef!
