Travel to Kanazawa on your own on the first day. A variety of Kanazawa-style experiences are available, such as the Kutani-yaki painting experience, Mizuhiki making experience, entrance to Kaikaro which is a Kanazawa City-designated preserved building, and candy-packing experience. A Kanazawa City 1 Day Pass is included to make your trip convenient. Dinner will be at a restaurant carefully selected by MYU Japan. Choose from a selection of crab dishes, sushi, Noto beef to enjoy Kanazawa-style meals.

Stay at eph KANAWAZA. Enjoy a stay in a sophisticated design hotel which was inspired by the traditional culture of Kanazawa.

Enjoy some free time in the morning of the second day. You can enjoy sightseeing at Kenrokuen, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Higashi Chaya District, or do whatever you missed on the first day. In the afternoon, take the limited express train to Wakura Onsen and relax at Kagaya, one of Japan's finest ryokan.

On the last day, you will be taken around the Noto Peninsula by private car. The tour will take you to unique and attractive places that are difficult to visit independently by public transportation, such as chopsticks making experience using Wajima lacquerware, Shiroyone Senmaida rice terraces which is one of the top 100 terraced rice paddies in Japan, and Noto Wine which produces one of the top wine brands in Japan.

<Activities>

A: Kanazawa Oshi-sushi

Oshi-sushi in Kanazawa is a dish that has been passed down from generation to generation as an indispensable dish for festivals. Kanazawa sushi is a variation of Oshi-sushi made with local ingredients, and Matsuri-sushi made using traditional wooden frames. There's also Sasa sushi which is made wrapped in bamboo grass. You can actually make them yourself at Kanazawa Oshi-sushi.

A: Kaikaro

Kaikaro which is designated as a Kanazawa City Preservation Architecture is the largest teahouse building in Kanazawa located in the Higashi Chaya district. It is open to the general public during the daytime, and offers a special performance by the Geishas in the evening for only one group. This tour plan includes entrance fee and golden kuzukiri during the daytime.

  • Please enter 5 minutes before your reserved time. If you fail to do so, you may not be allowed to enter. In that case, there will be no refund.

B: COIL

This is a modern creative Japanese restaurant where you can experience the traditional Japanese dishes of Hosomakizushi (thin roll sushi), Tempura, and Japanese Tea with your sense of sight, taste, and smell by incorporating them into modern visuals. It is a interactive restaurant where you can enjoy the act of making and eating the Hosomakizushi which has been popular in Kanazawa for centuries. The menu of 6 dishes+tempura+self tea ceremony set is arranged for this tour plan.

THE GRAND GINZA

B: Tawaraya Main Store

Jiro-ame is a thick-syrup type traditional soft candy made from Japanese rice and barley. The clear subsoil water from the sacred mountain of Hakusan is used to make the candy, which has a nostalgic flavor among the people of Kanazawa. Tawaraya candy shop has been loved by the people of Kanazawa since the Edo period (1603-1868), and the jiro-ame candy has beenfed to babies and help expectant mothers and the sick to recover their strength. In recent years, Tawaraya candy has been widely used to improve health as a purely natural, healthy food. In this tour plan, you will pack your own candy by transferring it from a tub to a jar.

C: Gold Leaf Sakuda Main Store

The main store is located nearby Higashi Chaya District, a famous tourist attraction in Kanazawa. The store offers services and attractions such as gold leaf production guided tour, gold leaf pasting experience, gold leaf mini museum, gold leaf craft store, and golden toilet made of gold leaf and platinum leaf, allowing customers to fully enjoy the charm of gold leaf. The store has a homely atmosphere and warmly welcomes all visitors. In this tour, you will experience gilding chopsticks. Enjoy the experience of using 1/10,000th of a millimeter of gold leaf to make your own original gold leaf crafts.

C: Kutani Kosen Kiln

Established in 1898, Kutani Kosen Kiln creates ceramics through all processes from shaping with a potter's wheel to painting by hand. The museum exhibits traditional Kutani-ware and guides visitors through the production process. In this tour plan, you will participate in the ceramic panting experience. You will be asked to draw the outline of the design on the white base, and the craftsman will finish the colors and bake it. It will be posted to you in approximately 2 months (delivery fee should be paid on site).

D: Hiraoka Yuinou-ho

The staff at Hiraoka Yuinou-ho is well experienced in Yuinou (traditional Japanese engagement ceremony) from all over Japan, and provides easy to understand and sincere support in preparing a Yuinou for their clients. Hiraoka Yuinou-ho's new product Kawa Yuinou is a simple and elegant Yuinou gift that preserves the tradition of wedding events while also including modern trends. Using original fine mizuhiki (decorative Japanese cord made from twisted paper), gorgeous and sophisticated Yuinou gifts are created. In this tour plan, you will be making a mizuhiki brooch.

D: Kaga-Yuzen Kimono Center

Kaga-Yuzen Kimono Center is a center for Kaga Yuzen dyeing technique and a place where people can easily become familiar with the art. In addition to the Kaga Yuzen demonstration zone, try-on zone, and handcraft experience zone; there is a special exhibition room with new Kaga Yuzen exhibits, a multi-purpose hall, and Yuzen accessories shop area. In this tour plan, you will experience the Kaga Yuzen dyeing technique on face mask.

E: KOKOYUI

The kimono rental store is located approximately 10 minutes walk from eph KANAZAWA. Choose from over 300 unique and pretty colourful kimonos. Kimono rental is very popular among friends, couples, and mothers and daughters traveling together.

Business hours: 09:00~18:00 (please return the rental items to KOKOYUI by 17:30)

Closed day: None

  • There is no need to prepare anything on the day. Kimono, obi, innerwear, accessories, socks, geta sandals, bag, etc. are all included in the price.

  • In the event of irreparable damage or loss such as stains, tears, or dark stains that cannot be removed by cleaning, the customer will be charged a predetermined amount of compensation (to be paid on site). Please inform the staff when you return the item.

A: Ichinokura

We offer a variety of fresh fish of the day, such as live, grilled, boiled, and steamed dishes, from bold fisherman's cuisine to traditional Kaga cuisine. At lunchtime, we offer a variety of set menus such as Kaisen-don (rice topped with seafood) and Tendon (rice topped with tempura), taking advantage of the appeal of Kanazawa and Ohmi-cho market where all kinds of ingredients are available, especially seafood. In the evening, the market offers dynamic fisherman's cuisine and fresh seafood dishes, including a la carte dishes using seasonal ingredients. In this tour, you will enjoy a course meal of grilled crab with miso shells.

B: Cho-hachi Kanazawa Ekimae

The restaurant specializes in fish dishes and sushi, serving fresh fishes from the Sea of Japan. They offer a wide variety of sushi, including nigiri sushi and Bo-zushi (rod-shaped sushi) made with seasonal fish. Enjoy a relaxing and luxurious time while sipping some local sake in a relaxing atmosphere. In this tour plan, you will be served with a course meal of sushi and Kaga Jibu-ni (Duck Meat Stew).

  2.  If Chirihama Nagisa Driveway is deemed as unsafe to drive due to high waves or other reasons, traffic restrictions will be imposed and driving will be prohibited. The local authotirities of Ishikawa prefecture will make the decision on the day of the event, therefore we will not be able to provide an answer in advance. Walking down the corridor decorated with the motif of stone pavement of the former samurai residence, and you will find your room of stay. The rooms are decorated with the motifs of snow hanging, where some rooms are decorated in noble blue color, while others are in Bengal red which will remind you of the Higashi Chaya District. At eph Kanazawa, a colorful and hearty breakfast filled with fresh local ingredients are created in collaboration with Hirami Pan, a popular bakery loved by Kanazawa city locals. The breakfast plate includes Hirami Pan's freshly made seasonal quiche and a variety of side dishes made from local Kanazawa vegetables. Enjoy it together with yogurt and homemade granola, and their original coffee with beans roasted by local roaster Sunny Bell Coffee to start off your morning.

  • Breakfast is served for two hours from 07:30 to 09:30, with time slots every 30 minutes. You can choose your preferred breakfast time at the time of reservation. If you are planning to travel to Shirakawa-go on the last day of your stay, we recommend that you have an early breakfast. We may not be able to accommodate you at your requested time depending on availability.

Enjoy a variety of dishes that make the most of the blessings of the season. The chef carefully selects seasonal ingredients to create dishes that are truly unique to Kagaya. We hope you will enjoy your stay at Kagaya and have a wonderful time.

  • Dinner can be served at any time between 18:00 and 19:00. Breakfast is available between 07:00 and 08:30.

  • Kaiseki cuisine will be served for dinner, however the details of the menu cannot be provided in advance as it frequently changes according to the season and availability of the ingredients.

Hot spring

The hot spring water of Wakura Onsen, one of the representative hot springs in the Hokuriku region, is a blessing from nature. To make the most of this blessing, Kagaya offers a variety of hot spring baths; including open-air baths and outdoor baths. You can enjoy the scent of hot water and the smell of the sea as you soak and relax inside the bath.

Kashin Bath which is decorated with colorful Italian tiles, is as beautiful as the Dragon Palace. Located on the first floor, it is very close to the ocean and offers a magnificent view. The innovative design of the ceiling and the view of Nanao Bay through the glass are a perfect match. You can smell the scent of the hot spring water and enjoy it visually as well. For guests' safety, the bathing room is equipped with a specially designed mirror that cannot be seen from the outside.

➁Benten Bath (for women)

Benten Bath offers an open-air bath overlooking the majestic Nanao Bay. Enjoy the blessings of Wakura Onsen in this spacious two-floor bath. The view of the sea at sunset while bathing in the hot spring is spectacular. There is also a salon, massage chairs, and beverages available for you to enjoy after your bath.

③Ebisu Bath (for men)

All the large bath houses are located on the ocean side, offering a magnificent view. Ebisu Bath has three floors of elaborate baths. Using a special elevator, you can enter various hot springs within the hotel. After bathing, you can relax in the massage chair or enjoy a drink.

Nishiki Koji

Nishiki Koji is an entertainment zone on the first floor which is approximately 80m long and has a floor space of approximately 3,300m². There is Matsurigoya, a room where you can enjoy a variety of performing arts, a variety of clubs, a love song alley, and a souvenir shop.

Hanafubuki Theatre

In 2003, Kagaya formed its own resident Setsugekka Opera Company. The troupe puts on lively shows every day, including line dances, Japanese dances, tap dances, and more. Please enjoy a gorgeous revue as a memory of your trip. The show will be held in two parts, with the first part starting at 20:30 and the second part starting at 21:30.

Souvenir shops

Take your time to choose from a wide variety of local products and crafts from Kaga and Noto, as well as delicacies from the Sea of Japan.

1.Hananoren: A variety of famous confections, folk crafts, handicrafts and Kagaya original products.

2.Hananishiki: Specialty products such as local sake, pickles, delicacies and marine products of Ishikawa prefecture.

3.Hyakka: Handicrafts, sundries and other daily goods from Kanazawa and Noto.

Lounge Hiten

On the first floor, you will find a luxurious Japanese-style space with a large Wajima lacquered panel depicting a heavenly maiden dancing and a floating stage with live koto music. Enjoy a luxurious moment with a cup of fragrant coffee. Hiten lit up in the evening is a gorgeous sight that is worthy of being called a Japanese resort.

Deep relaxation created by combining the wisdom of the East and West. At Kagaya, you can enjoy a unique treatment that combines oriental meridian massage and accupressure point stimulation with Western beauty massage, focusing on the power of Ki or life energy, and applying it to esthetics. The interior of the salon is richly decorated with materials from Noto. The flooring is made of wiped lacquer from Ishikawa's Ate wood, and the walls are made of diatomaceous earth from Noto. Wajima lacquered Japanese dances, Noto antiques, and a courtyard reminiscent of the sea of Noto are some of the unique features of Kagaya. Take a bus from Kanazawa Station and get off at Musashigatsuji/Omi-cho Ichiba bus stop, then walk 3 minutes.

Kagaya

  • By train

Take the limited express train from Kanazawa Station to Wakura Onsen (approximately 1 hour). Free shuttle service is available from Wakura Onsen Station by microbus.

  • The rates do not include the transportation fee prior to arrival at Kanazawa Station on the first day and beyond arrival at Kanazawa Station on the last day.

  • Check-in time at eph KANAZAWA is at 15:00, and check-out time is at 11:00. Breakfast starts at 07:30.

  • Check-in time at Kagaya is at 15:00, and check-out time is at 10:00. Breakfast will be served between 07:00 and 08:30, depending on your departure time.

  • Beverages are not included in the meal. Payment for drinks or additional orders should be made on site.

  • The activity is the same price regardless of which you choose.

  • Your booking confirmation will be sent within 1-2 business days.

  • We will ask you to complete the payment after the booking has been confirmed.
