There are many people who have been to Sensoji Temple for sure, but not everyone may know the many hidden gems of Tokyo around the temple. Join our Asakusa tour plan and experience the culture and tradition that has been kept alive since the Edo period.

MYU Japan combines a private cruise from Nihonbashi to Asakusa, hotel stay, and activity in Asakusa.

Itinerary

DAY1

11:30 Board on a private cruise (45 minutes) at Nihonbashi Pier. You will get to see a difference scenery of Nihonbashi and the Tokyo Metropolitan Highway from the water. Feel the refreshing breeze as the speed accelerates when cruising along Sumida River. Black-headed gulls can be seen flying around from autumn to spring. You will see some charming boathouses of Kanda River along the way as you head to Asakusa.

  • It is also possible to board in the afternoon.

12:15 Arrive at Asakusa. Enjoy one of the four activity of your choice and experience a new side of Tokyo.

  • The activity can also be booked for Day 2.

 

Stay at a hotel in Asakusa. Enjoy Asakusa in the evening and spend a relaxing night at the hotel.

EDO Cuisine is a unique course menu which was created from the fusion of Edo cuisine and French cuisine. It not only uses the best seasonal ingredients, but also considers the distribution, order, and timing of serving to ensure a delicious experience. Enjoy Chef Okabe's life food which is designed to make dining with your friends and family more enjoyable.

Regular holiday: Monday, 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month        

  • If Monday is a national holiday, it will be open but closed on the next business day.

Notes

The price includes hors d'oeuvre, pasta, main dish (choice of rotisserie local chicken thighs or special roasted pork), dessert, and coffee. Upgrade of the main dish and additional drinks should be paid for at the restaurant.

Kiriko glass making experience

Choose a design from several samples, and cut the glasses using the Edo kiriko technique. There are easy and difficult designs to choose from, and you can select the one that best suits your level. All of them are available for beginners.

Amezaiku candy making experience

Using a Japanese scissors and your bare hands, you will create a rabbit shape from a warm piece of candy. There will be a practice session before the actual making the actual candy demonstrated by the craftsman.

  • Please make sure to arrive at the studio at least 5 minutes before the reservation time.

  • Reservations will be confirmed at least two weeks in advance. We may not be able to accept your reservation depending on the status of the group reservation.

Kimono wearing experience

Why not stroll around Asakusa in a kimono? Blend yourself in the crowd walking along the streets of Asakusa and enjoy a different kind of travel experience. It is a great way to make memories with your friends or partner. We offer the standard plan where you can choose a kimono with a simple design.

Regular holiday: None

Location: VASARA ASAKUSA flagship store (2-1-3 Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo)

Time: Every 30 minutes between 09:00 and 17:00

Return: Between 09:00 and 22:00    

  • Return between 17:30 and 22:00 will be charged with an extension fee of JPY1,000 yen (excluding tax)

Notes

  • In case the VASARA ASAKUSA flagship store is crowd, the store location may be changed to VASARA ASAKUSA SENSO-JI Store or Asakusa station.

  • This is a standard plan. If you would like to upgrade, please pay the additional fee on site.

  • Yukata rental is available from June to September.

  • You will be asked to present a self identification document (i.e. passport, credit card, etc.) to confirm your identity.

Hotel Gracery Asakusa is an urban hotel conveniently located in the tourist district of Asakusa, just a 1-2 minutes walk from Kaminarimon Gate and 3 minute walk from Asakusa Station on the Toei Asakusa Line. The guest rooms are decorated with stories of the traditions of Asakusa. Traditional patterns such as Kagome-mon (woven bamboo pattern) and Ume monyo (plum pattern) are used to express a sense of beauty that is simple yet chic and sophisticated. A concierge desk is available to assist the guests by providing them with tourist information.

  • Your booking confirmation will be sent within 1-2 business days.

  • We will ask you to complete the payment after the booking has been confirmed.

  • You may be asked to present your residence card as proof of identification upon check-in.
