  • Suzuran Studio: Lovely lacquerware made of glass coated with lacquer that can be used every day is very popular.

  • Kumano-ya: The "Tororo Manju" is served as a traditional Japanese confectionery at the Tea Room Rinkaku at Tsurugajo Castle.

  • Nagatoya: A GOOD DESIGN Award winning yokan. A stylish gift in a stylish package and yokan.

  • Nuriichi: Aizu lacquerware, which is a collaboration of Aizu's traditional red beetle AKABEKO and legendary creature AMABIE is popular. Both have a legend of plague protection and are attracting attention. (Customers participating in this tour will receive an "Amabie Akabeko Decorative Plate" as a gift)

  • Suzuzen and Hoshiban E-rousoku Shop will be closed during the year-end and New Year holidays. (The closed dates will be announced this website when it has been fixed.)

  • Minimum participant is 1 person for the Suzuzen tour and 2 persons for the Hoshiban-e tour, maximum is 8 persons.

  • Changes is not accepted after the reservation has been made.

  • Walking sightseeing is also included, so please wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

  • If you are staying at Ookawaso, please take the free shuttle service from the hotel to Ashinomaki Onsen Station and take the 09:50 departure on Aizu Railway to Nanukamachi Station (arriving at 10:09). Please make a request to the hotel for the pick-up and drop-off between Ashinomaki Onsen Station and Ookawaso by yourself.

  • Hoshiban-e tour: Please think of an image to draw on a 15cm long and 1.5cm thick candle.

  • Suzuzen tour: You will receive a pair of chopsticks as a gift when you purchase an item at Suzuzen.

09:10 Visit Tenneiji Temple where the grave of Isami Kondo the Director General of the Shinsengumi stands quietly

10:00 Take a taxi to Tsuruga Castle

10:15 Visit Tsuruga Castle an impregnable castle during the Boshin War

11:15 Take a taxi to Nyorai-do

11:35 Visit Nyorai-do where Shinsengumi had a fight to their death

12:00 Take a taxi to Nanokamachi Street

12:10 Visit Amidaji Temple where Hajime Saito's grave is located. The Gosangai Turret which is a secret meeting place moved from the main building of Tsurugajo Castle is a highlight of the visit. (taxi service ends here)

12:40 The guide will give a few recommendations on Nanokamachi Street end the tour. (guide service ends here)

  • The tour includes a short hike up a little mountain road to the grave of Isami Kondo. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

  • If you are staying at Ookawaso, please take the free shuttle service from the hotel to Ashinomaki Onsen Station and take the 08:15 or 13:13 departure on Aizu Railway to Nanukamachi Station (arriving at 08:35 or 13:29). A taxi and a guide will be waiting for you at Nanukamachi Station.

  • The sightseeing points will be guided according to the order of Nyorai-do, Tenneiji Temple, Tsuruga Castle, Amidaji Temple, and Nanukamachi Street. The end time will be around 12:30 for the morning tour and around 17:25 for the afternoon tour. Please make a request to the hotel for the pick-up and drop-off between Ashinomaki Onsen Station and Ookawaso by yourself.
